Hill Transportation, Inc., an industry leader in flatbed heavy haul transportation, is currently hiring experienced Diesel and Trailer Technicians to join our dynamic 2nd shift team at our Shepherdsville location. The ideal candidates will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of maintenance and repair for diesel engines and trailers. This is a hands-on position that requires the use of your own tools, and compensation will be based on your level of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines and related components.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
• Inspect and test engines to ensure proper functioning and performance.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair trailers, including brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure trailers are in safe and operational condition.
• Utilize your own tools to perform maintenance and repair tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Maintain and organize tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Accurately document all maintenance and repair work performed.
• Maintain records of inspections, parts used, and services completed.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding maintenance and repair tasks.
• Collaborate with other technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of work.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in diesel engine and/or trailer maintenance and repair is required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment effectively.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Must have own tools required for the job.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
